Virtual Olympic Solidarity Sport Administrators Course 2021

The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka conducts its second and third Olympic Solidarity Sport Administrators Courses (OSSAC) in a virtual basis from 5 - 8 November 2021 and 2 - 5 December 2021, respectively. Application for both courses are open now and you can apply for one of them by filling out the attached form.

Applications are expected from individuals who possess the following qualifications:

For Sport Administrators:

1. Active involvement of sport administration in your organization or affiliated body

2. Good educational background at least up to GCE Advanced Level

3. Good command of English

4. Good sports background

5. IT Literacy

Sport Administrators from National Sports Associations/Federations, Lecturers in Sports Sciences/Management & Physical Education, Teachers in Physical Education & Sports Sciences/Management, Sports Administrators attached to three Armed Forces & Police, Sport Administrators from Provincial Councils and other government organizations and all other individuals who involved in sports etc. are eligible to apply for this course. The officials who represent the National Sport Associations/Federations are specially invited for this course as the NOC Sri Lanka considers the completion of this course as a mandatory requirement when selecting team officials (managers/coaches) for international games; especially Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, Asian Indoor and Martial Art Games, Asian Beach Games, and Asian Youth Games.

The course is based on a Manual delivered by the IOC Olympic Solidarity and designed with few segments. An IOC recognized certificate will be awarded after the completion of the course with 100% participation.

Since the course will be conducted online, the applicants should have the following:

1. Good knowledge of using computers/laptops and/or mobile phones

2.  Facility of using internet [must be with sufficient data package and good internet connection (signal quality)]

3. Disturbance free environment

Applications will be valid only if they are followed by a detailed CV of the applicant and a recommendation letter signed by the Head of applicant’s organisation. The suitable participants for the course will be selected after an online interview.

For the second OSSAC, the application deadline is October 08, 2021, and for the third OSSAC, the deadline is November 10, 2021. The application should reach Secretary General of NOC Sri Lanka on or before the above deadlines email natolcom@slt.lk

Applications received after the given deadline will not be entertained and the gender balance of applications will be highly concerned when selecting the applicants.
